All our technicians have followed a professional training course in order to obtain the CD5 certification issued and legally required by the Québec government’s environment ministry (ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques). For AJS, it’s not just a question of knowing about insecticides and the proper way to use them; it’s also about getting to the root of the problem by searching out the cause of a parasite’s presence in a building. We are firmly convinced that massive extermination of insects will bring very little long-term gain if the cause of their presence is not discovered and corrected.

AJS has set up a seasonal outdoor treatment program from May to September that will help keep the increased presence of outdoor insects to a minimum. Thanks to their many years of experience in pest management, our technicians are well equipped to apply licensed products according to your building’s particular needs: liquids, powders or even pressurized droplets.

Our technicians are trained and certified for the application and sale of insecticides for indoor or outdoor use, but we also want to give our customers the chance to choose. That’s why, in 2012, AJS became even more accessible to the public when we opened a pest control store at 4174 boulevard Grande Allée in Greenfield Park.
Customers are welcome to come and check out extermination products that are approved for domestic use, which allows them to apply a treatment themselves if they wish. Our technicians are on site to explain how to safely use the products and to answer questions. Several products are offered for treatment against bed bugs, ants, spiders, wasps, cockroaches, mice, rats, as well as a natural, garlic-based product used to repel mosquitoes and several other insects. And as of 2020, it is possible to access our Web platform to buy pest control products.
There is always a certified technician at the counter of the AJS store; you can even have us identify an insect you’ve found in your home. Having this street-side presence ensures greater transparency and helps reassure and correctly inform customers who care about their health and the environment.
